This special program represents a series of brand new international short films dealing with the challenges facing architects and designers, and the people who inhabit their designs.

ARCHIPAPER – A SURREALIST STORY ABOUT ARCHITECTURE
ArchiPaper is a short animated film that tells a story about architecture in an unconventional way. The basis and starting point for this work was a physical model of a house designed by BXB Studio.

SCENES FROM A DRY CITY
Cape Town is closing in on ‘Day Zero’ when citizens’ taps will run dry. Part biblical disaster, part Thunderdome anarchy, this is what a world without water looks like.

CONCRETE NATURE: THE PLANETARY SAND BANK
This film explores concrete buildings that were politicised before they were constructed, before an architect lent them their particular voice; buildings whose political speech is now being overwritten, rewritten, and erased, by the shifting sands of ideology and environment.
