What are the opening hours for the Members Lounges?

The NGV Members Lounge is open daily at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. NGV Members can continue to enjoy the Members Lounge at NGV International from 19 December 2020. As we follow the latest health advice, we have modified seating and have removed shared tea and coffee facilities.

NGV Members receive a 10% discount and are welcome to order takeaway coffee and drinks from Crossbar Café or Gallery Kitchen to enjoy in the Members Lounge. We encourage you to visit our website and follow our social media for updates.

What should I do if have forgotten my Membership card?

Please request a temporary card from the Members Lounges to access your full benefits during your visit to the NGV.

Please request a temporary card from the Members Lounge to access your full benefits during your visit to the NGV. There is a $5 administration fee for lost or stolen cards.

How can I set up auto renewal payments?

Automatic Renewal provides NGV Members with the easiest and simplest method to renew NGV Memberships.

By opting into Automatic Renewal with a valid credit card, when the annual payment is due for renewal, NGV Members will be notified via email to advise of the forthcoming payment amount and processing date. NGV Members reserves the right to change the price of NGV Membership. Renewal payment will be for an amount as determined by NGV Members and notified to you and will be deducted from your nominated credit card two weeks prior to the expiry of your current Membership. You will receive notification two weeks’ prior of impending payment and a tax invoice will be issued with your Membership card once the payment is processed. Opt-out is available, however, a minimum of 7 days’ notice is required prior to the scheduled payment date. If notification is received less than 7 days prior, the membership amount will be deducted from your credit card. Auto Renewal will be processed for the same type of Membership as the current Membership stated unless otherwise specified to the NGV Members team more than 7 days prior to payment date.

Automatic renewal is not available for student or concession NGV Memberships.

How do I book Members programs or events?

If you have forgotten your password you can select Reset Password when logging into your account. A link will then be sent to your email address for you to reset your password.

Is a refund available if I cancel my booking for a program or event?

Program and exhibition tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. In the event that a program is cancelled by the NGV, you will be notified immediately and our team will issue a full refund.

Can I bring a guest to an Exclusive Member preview?

Previews are reserved for NGV Members only, however non-Members can sign up on the day and start receiving all the benefits of NGV Membership straight away.

Can I add someone to my Membership?

Can I suspend or cancel my NGV Membership?

NGV Membership is non-refundable. The expiry date of an annual Membership subscription cannot be suspended or extended past the expiry date stipulated on the Membership.

Can I upgrade my current NGV Membership to a Premium Membership?

You are welcome to upgrade your Membership to a Premium Membership at any time by speaking to the Members team in person or via email [email protected].

Please note, when upgrading to a Premium Membership you will put the value of your current Membership towards your Premium Membership & receive a full years’ worth of benefits.

I have been given an NGV Membership as a gift, how do I redeem this?

To activate your NGV Membership, please contact our team via email [email protected] and quote the voucher number on the gift voucher.

Gift memberships expire 3 years after the issue date and the voucher may not be replaced if lost or stolen.
